How Do You Do?

You know what your title is, but what do you do?

What effect are you having on the organization or those around you?

Are you achieving what you set out to achieve?

How do you know?

This is not merely a philosophical question. If you are not sure about – or you cannot explain – the effect you have on the group, then how will your boss or your client know?

You say that you will let your work speak for itself?

Good luck with that.

Your work is mute.

Even if your clients love your work, they rarely are able to assess its impact.

Where to start?

A good place to begin is to ask yourself how you hope people will act, think, or respond when they follow your lead or use your content.

It’s up to you to measure the effect you and your work has – and to communicate the outcome to others.

If you don’t, someone else will.
