To Dress Or Not To Dress

by - m on 09/24/2010

Every once in a while I dress in my nicest suit to observe the difference in how I’m perceived. The “nicer” I dress the more important I become (that’s how it seems anyway).

If I dress in a suit and tie, I become the Executive Producer. In meetings my opinion matters.
If I dress in my usual “uniform” – Blue jeans, T-shirt, Sports jacket, Vans – I become the “creative lead” on projects.
Nothing changed except the uniform – and the perception.
Suit = Boss
Blue Jeans & Vans = Creative
Whatever your brand, dress the part.
– T.D. Boss
