There Is No ‘We’ In Team

by - m on 04/13/2012

The myth of teamwork is as pervasive as Brainstorming in today’s business.

And, as used in today’s corporate culture, just as effective.

Somehow we’ve been led to believe if enough people work on a project, the project will be successful.

The Powers-That-Be fail to recognize that its the team’s design – the people who comprise the team – that matters.

And that different members of the team contribute different levels of support to the project.

Too many times the person who decided the color of the paper receives the same credit as the people who created the brilliant proposal.

I think not.

It was Robert Woodruff who said,

“There is no limit to what a man can do or how far he can go if he doesn’t mind who gets the credit.”

But he got credit for saying it.
