by - m on 02/23/2012

If you want to be better at persuading people, become a better storyteller.

Politicians know this. They regale us with tales of past victories to convince us they are worthy of our vote.

Our elders used bible stories and parables to keep us on the straight and narrow.

We learn history through myth and stories…

Johnny Appleseed

Honest Abe Lincoln

Washington chopping down the cherry tree.

Even the Court Jester realized that by telling stories – especially humerous ones – he could make his point and save his neck.

The art of story telling means to make em laugh, to make em cry. A good story teller is a great at edu’tainer. To touch an audience emotionally will light a fire not only under their butts, but also in their souls.
