It isn’t hard work.

A raise, a promotion, even a date should begin with an ask.

Yes, you will likely need to build a case to support your request.

Yes, you may need to do some research and rehearse.

And yes, many of us are afraid to ask because we fear opposition, or rejection, or ridicule.

Don’t put so much pressure on yourself…

You aren’t seeking permission. 

You are presenting an option they may not have considered.

Your colleagues, your bosses, and your followers aren’t mind readers.

How is anyone going to know what you want
