This morning’s NYT’s article on the Steve Job’s “backlash” (Short Sainthood For Steve Jobs) has me thinking about behavior in the creative workplace.
We’re capable of amazing creativity and astounding stupidity.
We question whether we are making the right decisions.
We overreact, scream and pout when things don’t go our way…
and are labeled jerks.
We overreact, bask in the glory heaped upon us when things turn out well…
and are labeled brilliant.
Most of the time we’re trying only to do our best – for our family, our friends, our companies, and ourselves.
At times we are generous.
At times we are selfish.
Neither sinners nor saints.
