Results Matter

It’s important to hire creative, innovative people.

But be careful when choosing how to reward creativity and innovation.

Rewards should be reserved for results, not for creativity and innovation.

Reward the folks who make things work.

Reward the people who can do stuff.

That’s not to say creative people can’t deliver results,

but calling yourself creative doesn’t mean much if nothing gets done.

Accomplishments matter.

Results matter.
