Network Your Way To A Job

by - m on 08/16/2010

If you are currently in school or you are a recent graduate, now is the time to begin making connections. How do you get started building your network?
Talk to your classmates. Today’s classmate is tomorrow’s connection. Your friends are also your connections. But keep in mind that connections work both ways. Offer information. Connect your friends with the people that you know.
Nothing will increase your chances of starting your career more than getting a personal recommendation from someone in the profession. The odds are you will not get a gig without first establishing a network. Nothing is more valuable than establishing and becoming an active member in a network. NOTHING. Not great work. Not great talent. Nothing is more important.

Now is the time to begin making connections.
