Much of what we do in the creative workplace is slough through tedium to get to the cool stuff.

Even if you’re an entrepreneur, you must suffer through activities you hate doing to get to the rewards. Stuff like cold-calling prospects. Or organizing the tax files. Or typing expenses into Quicken. Or attending monthly meetings. Or submitting reports.

Companies too have requirements. They have seemingly inane procedures that they insist employees follow.

Be understanding of these things.

They are “the price of admission” to your job.

Get good at them.

But not too good.
