Lock Yourself In

In his book Tearing Down The Wall Of Sound, Mick Brown relates the story of legendary Rolling Stones manager Andrew Loog Oldham locking Mick Jagger and Keith Richards in a room and refusing to feed them until they delivered two new songs.

(Mr. Oldham believed the key to the band’s success was performing original material).

If you’re having trouble getting started on or staying with a project, it may be time for a new approach.

Don’t take a break.

Don’t grab that second cup.

Lock yourself in until the job is done.
