Let Me Smell Your Hands.

We were on a school shopping trip. My daughters were eight or nine years old.

As my wife and daughters were in the fitting room trying on dresses, I had gone to the men’s room.
When I returned my oldest daughter asked, “Dad, did you wash your hands?”
“Of course,” I said.
“Let me smell your hands.” she said. “I hope they smell like soap.”
Laughing, I held out my hands.
She smelled them and said, “Good job.”
What does this have to do with leadership?
I’m not really sure except for a brief time she was in charge – in fact she still is.
Kinda like your staff.
Something to keep in mind.
