How To Get Caught In A Layoff

Constantly doing one or more of the following is almost guaranteed to target you for layoff.

  • Don’t fit in with the culture.
  • Be grumpy.
  • Be aloof.
  • Be complacent.
  • Be unable to describe what you do.
  • Don’t show value to the company.
  • Deliver no apparent results.
  • Complain and offer no solutions. 
  • Lack credibility.

The HR folks hope you believe that the reason you are chosen for layoff is due to business factors, not competency.

It isn’t your fault.

Maybe not entirely…

But you have something to do with it.
