  1. If the staff needs a regularly scheduled meeting to know what to do.
  2. If the staff needs your permission to speak with someone in another department.
  3. If the staff needs your permission to speak with your boss.
  4. If the staff is required to let you know where they are.
  5. If you need to grant the staff permission to try something different.
  6. If you refer to any group of your colleagues as “the staff”.
  7. If you think the place will fall apart without you.
  8. If the place does fall apart without you.
  9. If you have no clear goal or plan.
  10. If you fervently believe that you are not leadership impaired.
You probably are.
